After 16 hours of work and four separate fun and crazy "toy drive collection box-making parties", Kidzz Helping Kidzz Advisory Board managed to make 96 BEAUTIFUL toy drive collection boxes!
These toy drive collection boxes are now being distributed throughout Kitsap County to local businesses, schools, churches, and official county offices.
We could not have done this important work to date without our amazing Kidzz Helping Kidzz Advisory Board composed of 15 kids ages 10-17.
These kids have had a key role in planning our toy drive and leading the activities of our organization as we work to brighten lives of thousands of children in the hospital during the holiday season.
We are grateful for the donation of storage space this year that was provided by St. Michael Medical Center and United Moving and Storage.
As Kidzz Helping Kidzz members connect with the community while they’re out delivering toy drive collection boxes for ill children in the hospital, the "Kidzz" from the advisory board proudly arrange public speaking opportunities to thank the public for their generosity and encourage others to help make a difference.
Today, Zachary and Arianna, members of our Advisory Board spoke at the West Sound Technical Skills Center in Bremerton.
This wonderful school of 540 students has selected the Kidzz Helping Kidzz Toy Drive as their Community Service Project this fall. West Sound Tech is no stranger to us. In 2019, these students donated over 1,000 toys!
We are very grateful for their continued support as we work together to bring joy to children who are in the hospital during the holidays.
Our annual toy drive could not be successful without the help of our amazing volunteers who range in ages from 7 to 82 this year!
Kidzz Helping Kidzz does not have paid staff. We run entirely by volunteers.
So, if you are a kid or an adult who would also like to feel joy supporting our effort, please contact us here.
If you would, however, like to help in other ways like by donation, please visit our contribute page to see how you can donate time, by payment, or how to find one of our toy donation boxes nearby.
Our goal this year is to brighten the lives of at least 5,000 children who will be spending the holidays at St. Michael Medical Center, Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, and Seattle Children’s Hospital.
We know first hand how the gift of receiving a toy can bring joy to an ill child and help alleviate anxiety and aid in recovery.
Here’s another story of one amazing kid who received one of our toys while she was in the hospital and how it helped her feel better.
Please join us in working together to brighten the lives of thousands of ill children again this holiday season.
Thank you!
