At Kidzz Helping Kidzz, we are incredibly proud of the outstanding youth who serve on our Advisory Board. Their unwavering commitment to civic leadership and making a difference for children in need is truly inspiring.

Celebrating Our Rising Star: Jameson Neumann

Jameson Rising Star Award Recipient for month of February 2024

In February, we are thrilled to announce our Kidzz Helping Kidzz Rising Star award recipient, Jameson Neumann. Jameson has been an invaluable member of our Advisory Board for the past two years, bringing his talents and dedication to the forefront.

Not only does he excel as a musician, playing the Tenor Saxophone in jazz and symphonic bands at his High School, but he also demonstrates remarkable athletic abilities and a passion for community service.

Kidzz Helping Kidzz Advisory Board Member Jameson enjoys the Mariners, Seahawks, and Escape Room (Escape Hour) in Gig Harbor, WA.

And let's not forget his love for the Mariners and Seahawks and his knack for conquering escape rooms – five escape rooms thus far! Jameson has great problem-solving skills, excellent critical thinking skills and is a great team player. Thank you, Jameson for your commitment to serving kids in need!

Fun and Celebration: Kidzz Helping Kidzz Party

Each January, we host a lively Kidzz Helping Kidzz party to celebrate our achievements, plan for the future, and most importantly, have fun. Our 2023 toy drive was a tremendous success, and we had the pleasure of hosting the Hope Scouts, a program dedicated to engaging children and their parents in supporting local initiatives for kids in need.

Hope worldwide Scouts creates opportunities for kindergarten-8th grade to contribute to community in meaningful ways with Kidzz Helping Kidzz

Hope Worldwide Scouts was founded by volunteers who wish to create opportunities for students in kindergarten through 8th grade to contribute to their community in meaningful ways. This program enables children to impact those in need while instilling a commitment to service in their hearts. Under the supervision of their Scout Leaders, troops routinely support local programs and distinguish themselves by their passionate service.  The Hope Scouts helped us during our toy drive and several of the kids joined us in delivering the toys to the hospitals!

Commitment to Addressing Food Insecurity: Looking Ahead to 2024

As we plan our activities for 2024, our Advisory Board is deeply committed to addressing the issue of food insecurity among youth. We are exploring ways to support organizations such as the Bremerton Backpack Brigade, the Central Kitsap Food Backpacks 4 Kids program, and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul which provide essential food supplies for children and families in need.

Engaging the Community: Involving Schools and Hope Scouts

In our efforts to organize a food drive, we are reaching out to local schools and seeking the support of organizations in the community who have demonstrated their dedication to helping those in need. Together, we aim to make a meaningful impact in our community and address the growing challenge of food insecurity amongst youth. Stay tuned for more information about our Kidzz Helping Kidzz food drive!

Engaging in Fun and Games

Amidst our important work, we also believe in the importance of having fun. Our Kidzz Helping Kidzz party involved engaging games and activities, bringing together 27 enthusiastic kids for a memorable evening of laughter and enjoyment. We had a blast at our party, playing games like the doughnut game where the first kid to finish eating a hanging donut from the ceiling with no hands wins.

All 27 kids had the opportunity to hit a super durable piñata where sections of it broke off at a time making it probably the most durable piñata ever made!

The kids then counted off into three teams and played the hardboiled egg race game. Here’s a game where kids have to place the egg on a spoon and run (or quickly walk) down to a bowl, place the egg in the bowl, then pick it up again and run back to the next kid waiting in line like a relay race. Everyone seemed to have fun with this game and to everyone's surprise none of the hardboiled eggs broke! It was a night filled with laughter and good times.
